Follow a YouTube channel straight into your digital brain

When you rely on a particular creator's thinking, you don't want to miss a video — and you don't want to rewatch one to find a single point. This template captures every new upload from a channel and makes its transcript searchable in your brain.

The problem it solves

When a specific creator is a real source of insight for your work, their back catalogue is a knowledge base you can't actually search. You remember that they said something useful about a topic — but not which video, or where in it. This template builds that searchable archive for you: every new upload from the channel is ingested automatically, so the channel becomes part of your queryable brain instead of a playlist you mean to get to.

How to set it up

  1. 1

    Choose the channel to follow

Connect YouTube and pick the trigger "New Video in Channel." Specify the channel whose uploads you want to capture.

  2. 2

Decide how much to capture (optional)

If a channel posts a mix of content, add a "Filter by Zapier" step to ingest only videos whose title matches the topics you care about — so a creator's off-topic uploads don't dilute your brain.

  3. 3

Send each upload to Brain Graph

Add the Brain Graph action "Upload YouTube Video" and map the video URL. Brain Graph pulls the transcript, resolves the speakers, and ingests it into your knowledge graph. Each video is processed once.

  4. 4

    Test and enable

Test with a recent upload to confirm it lands in your brain, then turn the Zap on. From now on, the channel feeds your brain automatically.

Zapier integrations are available on BrainGraph's paid plans — see plans. You'll also need a BrainGraph API key — create a free account and mint one from the API Keys page in your settings.
